Social Learning and Environmental Governance (SLEG) Lab
Experimental and Experiential Social Science Methods for Sustainability

To address the pressing social-environmental challenges, societies need transformations in the way they govern the environment. Such transformations will require social learning potentially resulting in behavioral and institutional change. In this laboratory, led by the Department of Environmental Sociology of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), experiential and experimental social science methods are reviewed, analyzed, adapted, tested, and developed to better understand what can facilitate more equitable and more sustainable environmental governance.
